IRINA SURIKOVA

Irina, born in 1986 in Ivanovo, Russia, is an artist and art educator based in Hong Kong since 2007. She specialises in oil paint and mixed media. With a diploma with honours in industrial graphic art and design, she has participated and won prizes in regional and national art exhibitions and competitions since 2000 including the international fund raising exhibition “Centennial Celebration of Women in Art”, in Shanghai.

Her early focus in fashion led to mastering graphic skills and then fine art. Fascinated by the fine arts process, she captures and creates an aesthetic of her own world through a combination of light and selected colours using her knowledge of composition structures and a variety of techniques. Her style and subject matter are nuanced by her emotions, personality and work experiments.
