ANDY LOWE

Hong Kong has been Andy’s home since 1989.  She’s been keen on writing and making music since um, forever, but these interests lay dormant for several decades while she pursued a corporate career.  Starting out in the UK as a researcher into cognitive psychology and AI she later managed an HR consulting practice for a professional services firm in HK. Although she didn’t know it at the time, it was her subsequent regional HR role with a US investment bank that was to be her wonderfully unexpected link to Write or Die. Meantime, for the past 20 years, she’s been busy running an executive coaching business which predominantly serves financial institutions and professional services firms across Asia Pacific. She plans to keep coaching and following her various creative pursuits as long as she’s drawing breath.

In addition to coaching, she’s currently writing her first play and working on various short descriptive pieces. She’s also producing simple music ensemble pieces for recorders of various shapes and sizes, has accidentally squashed her drum kit, and has been on the lookout for a three-and-a-half octave electronic foot-pedal board in the hope of building something akin to a small church organ in her home…. if you know of one, please get in touch!
